Is Therapy for Me?

A common hesitation in seeking support in therapy is the question of its' benefits. The simple nature of "venting" is providing care to the mind as you would an open wound.

Additionally, the therapeutic relationship is a partnership where the client is the expert. The therapist behaves as a sounding board, listening, and gently offering varying perspectives. Based on the client's reports, the therapist will offer techniques to support the client's desired change.

How Does it Work?

During the free 15 minute consultation call, we will decide if your concerns are something we think we can work on together.  We will meet for an initial session where I conduct an assessment (ask you a bunch of questions and explore your thoughts and feelings).

We will decide the frequency of your sessions, typically once a week, at first. This decreases as goals are met.

You are the expert in your life, so we design a treatment plan together. This will be detailed with the overall goal, and smaller goals and interventions/exercises that are centered in accomplishing the overall goal. I will guide and support you in creating it by listening to you concerns, and asking questions.

I truly look forward to hearing from you and working with you. I believe all people are doing the best they can with what they know. Sometimes, we may not be in touch with all our inner tools. I am happy to support you access your inner power. Let's see what we can do. It is possible to feel different. It is possible to have the life you want.
